The Answer Pad Meets #TeacherFriends

Hi friends! I want to fill you in on an exciting new assessment tool I get to be an early adopter for! The Answer Pad (TAP) combines lots of amazing features like a student response system with a grading solution to provide teachers with instant feedback! We know that when students are actively learning and engaged, we see increased student outcomes. What I really like about TAP is that it allows me to be in two places at once! Students can be working on TAP at a station and I can see the results instantly while working with a separate group of students at the same time.

TAP has three main features I will touch on here: Interactive/Quick Response, Quizzes, and Reports.

Interactive

It's all about student engagement and timely feedback. Interactive gives teachers the spontaneity to engage with their students at the time of instruction, giving them an opportunity to show what they know.

Use any of their select response polling type questions for fast feedback or polling. Use the slide response for self evaluation. Use images from the Template Gallery to take interactivity to a whole new level. Prepare ahead or use this tool spontaneously! Can't find what you need? Then uplaod your own. Teachers can pre-draw images before sending them out to students. The Portfolio tool allows teachers to capture student responses, building up digital portfolios of student work, showing growth over time.

Quizzes

TAP helps you transition from paper to digital assessment. Save yourself lots of time by using your existing assessments, but set up TAP to grade them for you!

Create answer sheets for your assessments and either hand out the paper assessment to the students or upload the .pdf file of your assessment to the library and go paperless. Students tap their answers on TAP. They can use the scratch pad to show their work, and it comes pre-loaded with the CCSS, or you can customize and add your own standards. A brand new feature was also released yesterday that allows teachers to share answer sheets with anyone else that has a TAP account! How awesome is that?!

Reports

As soon as the students turn in their quizzes, you have access to a great selection of instant, standards-based online reports, and students get immediate feedback on their answers.

Results, item analysis, proficiency and the ability to see student work. Data at your fingertips to drive instruction. TAP reports by CCSS by default, but standards can be customized to meet your needs. Class and individual student reports are available for teachers. The school version also includes school-wide and grade level reports. All reports as easy to export to your LMS.
