Top Dog Hockey Stars!

As a teacher, I think it is vital to show interest in your students' passions and show that you care about them as kids even when they aren't in school. Students' learning in school flourishes when you show that you care about them as people first. Last Sunday, I was able to spend some time at the Old Arena to watch some of the Top Dogs play hockey! Let me just say Carlie , Maddie, Blake and Gabe are rockstars! They could skate faster than me any day of the week! I was SO impressed with them! Here are some pictures I snapped!

I hope these kids and their parents appreciate a teacher who comes to students' hockey games - I'm certainly impressed!
