We are so lucky to have an awesome helper at our school named Kenny. He took our whole class snowshoeing last Thursday, and we had SO much fun!! The kids were very sweaty and pooped when we finally got the shoes off and came back to Challenger. We walked around behind Challenger and learned about the wetlands, woods, and the prairie. Thank you Kenny for taking us! We can't wait to go again.

What a great experience for the kids!!! It was a nice day and something most kids don't get to do in a school setting!

I have snowshoed many times but with the old wood ones not the nice ones like all of you used. One year I had to hunt with snowshoes in 1991 when we had the huge Halloween blizzard of 31 inches of snow on that day and 15 inches the day before deer hunting. They kept me on top of the snow instead of falling through and walking in 46 inches of snow. I read the Blog everyday to check out what is going on in your class as a parent and as a principal to see what our students are doing. I know you are going on Friday I heard. I will be here by myself in the office so I am not sure I can but I will try because I do love going through the snow in snowshoes!
